QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Law from the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (2013-2015).
Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of La Laguna.
Masters in Corporate Tax Consultancy from the IE Business School Madrid.
PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Head of the Corporate Taxation Department of the Canary Islands Office of Ernst & Young Abogados for 16 years (1995-2010).
CURRENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
He joined MONTERO ARAMBURU ABOGADOS in 2010.
He has extensive experience in designing the tax policies of companies and business groups and multinational companies established in the Canary Islands, in the hotel & catering, time-sharing, construction and development, distribution and automotive sectors.
He specialises in the Tax Consolidation Regime for corporation tax, as well as in all matters relating to the Economic and Tax System of the Canary Islands (REF), and in particular in the application of its tax benefits, such as the Canary Islands Investment Reserve (RIC), asset deductions and benefits in indirect taxation, etc.
He has experience in Family Business Estate Planning, advising various family groups.
He also has experience in advising on and optimising indirect taxation structures, in particular in relation to the Canary Islands General Indirect Tax (IGIC).
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
He has been a speaker at various conferences on tax matters, in particular regarding the Canary Islands General Indirect Tax and the Economic and Tax System of the Canary Islands.
